FNMI Curriculum Resources and Lesson Plans for Educators inspired by 'Elder in the Making'

Join Chris Hsiung for a presentation of lesson plans and educational material that can be used in conjunction with his award-winning documentary "Elder in the Making". This film inspired education students from Mount Royal University to develop lesson plans and curriculum resources for educators. These resources are designed for elementary, junior high and senior high and targeted for a variety disciplines. From indigenous plant knowledge to historical exploration to the meaning of becoming of an Elder, participants will learn about some of the possible lesson plans they can bring to their classroom. Note that participants are assumed to have seen the film.
