Join Director Chris Hsiung for a viewing of his award winning documentary Elder in the Making (elderinthemaking.com). This film follows the Chris, a Chinese-Canadian, on a journey across traditional Blackfoot territory with his unlikely travel companion, Cowboy Smithx, as they explore the tragic and hopeful history of their shared home. This film is regularly cited as required viewing for all Albertans and comes with lessons plans and support material for educators. Participants will be treated to a full screening of the film followed by an opportunity to have a conversation with Chris Hsiung about cultural identity, interdisciplinary education, and indigenous relationship.
