Hot Topic: What You Need to Know About the New Quality Standards

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

New Teacher Quality Standards and School Leader Quality Standards are coming. In a matter of months, all educators in the province will be held to these new standards and must be able to demonstrate that they meet the included competencies. The 2017 teachers’ conventions will present one of the first opportunities for most of the province’s teachers and principals to discuss the new standards with the ATA leaders who were involved in their development. In this session you’ll explore the competencies and indicators of the new Teaching and School Leadership standards with a keen eye to how they can be met and implemented. The road ahead may seem daunting, but this session will help you map out the journey, identify resources that you can access, and connect with those who can provide guidance along the way.
