Bring the Battle of Vimy Ridge Into Elementary Classrooms with Age-Appropriate Resources

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

April 9-12, 2017 will mark 100 years since Canadian troops accomplished the impossible at Vimy Ridge and in so doing, established a national identity. It’s an important learning opportunity but the horrors of this war make it difficult to present this battle to younger students in an appropriate way. Join author Sigmund Brouwer in an tour of teaching resources suitable for elementary students, including a way to show the significant First Nations contributions to the war efforts, and tie-ins to Remembrance Day.
