Zoom An Author Into Your Classroom With Face-To-Face Video That Is Easy For Non-Techies To Use

You won’t even need your IT person to help! All it takes is a computer with web-cam and internet access, and a couple of simple clicks of the mouse. This session will showcase software to bring authors from all over the globe into your libraries or classrooms, how to use digital visits to get students excited about writing their stories, and what might get an author interested in donating a a visit with you and your students.

Sigmund Brouwer

Author, Rock and Roll Literacy
With close to three million books in print, Sigmund Brouwer writes for both children and adults. In the last ten years, he has given writing workshops to students in schools from the Arctic Circle to inner city Los Angeles. One of his latest novels, The Last Disciple, earned Sigmund an appearance on ABC's Good Morning America. Sigmund and his family live half the year in Nashville, Tennessee, and half the year in Red Deer, Alberta.

Natasha Deen

Author, The Writing Life
Natasha Deen's family moved to Canada to escape the racial and political violence of Guyana, South America, and those experiences play a dominant role in her novels.
