KAIROS' Blanket Exercise - REPEAT SESSION

The blanket exercise is an interactive ceremony developed by KAIROS following the landmark report on the Royal Commission of Aboriginal Peoples. The exercise explores the relationship between the Crown and Indigenous peoples in Canada. This exercise engages the hearts and minds in understanding the current relationship between indigenous and non-indigenous peoples and how we can take action to work together today, all in the spirit of reconciliation.

Natalie Bear is of Cree ancestry and a proud member of Bigstone Cree Nation, located in Treaty 8 territory. She currently teaches in Wetaskiwin and over the span of her career she has spent time teaching both Elementary and Junior high students.
