Increasing Algebra Number Sense through Puzzles Part 2

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This session will be a continuation of last year’s introduction to puzzles, a hands-on approach for using glass pebbles to explore physical number puzzles that lend to direct algebraic problems....involving linear, quadratic and cubic equations! If you did not attend last year and are interested...the material from last year will also be provided. For those who attended last year...we will start the session by diving into the puzzle explorations that were not covered last year. By providing opportunities for students to create their own visual spatial sense of the algebra at hand, they are better able to understand and make meaning of what they are doing with the mathematics. So, please come and play again!
