A Holistic and Historical Approach to Teaching Trigonometry

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This session will provide the history of how the ancient mathematicians developed the concept of trigonometry, and how to provide an extremely visual approach for understanding the Sine, Cosine and Tangent Functions as these were created. This approach provides the historical and visual understanding to make sense of what trigonometry really is describing, as well it makes all the calculations much easier for grade 10 students. So, if you are new to teaching trigonometry, come and learn! If you are experienced and want to learn some more history and a different visual approach...please join me for the math stories!
