Help Your High School Students be Math Homework Innovators!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What if students developed their own homework strategies for math? Could math homework be more than finishing questions? What if we could foster an environment of self-directed homework? We will share key examples of students’ homework strategies as we followed them through their high school careers and discovered how their strategies evolved to meet challenges in their math classes. In this session, teachers will learn key homework strategies that students used to succeed in high school math. They will adapt and take back effective strategies to share with students. Teachers will also learn how to promote students’ independence to develop homework and study strategies. Come ready to re-think how you assign and view homework in your own classroom!
