The 5E Learning Cycle in the Science Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Are you looking for a tried and true method of teaching Science that is both practical to use in the classroom and that is grounded by research? The 5E Instructional Model has been around for almost 30 years, and so is a well established approach to science instruction that you may not have heard of before. It's a constructivist teaching strategy grounded in research that is consistent with cognitive theories of learning. Plus, it offers a practical lesson planning structure and is a way to approach instruction in a meaningful way. This session will introduce you to the 5E model and encourage you to Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate!
