Entitlementality (And How to Teach Against It)

Increasing numbers of students feel “entitled” - to an easy path, late assignments, absenteeism, immunity to discipline, and success without effort; they expect teachers to do their thinking FOR them. We'll discuss classroom tactics to switch entitlementality into empathy, creativity, and effort. With your help, students will put more focus on relationships, gratitude, and citizenship, and they'll learn a healthy approach to mistakes and failure.
