Teaching Students about Science through Food Preparation

In this session, Teaching Students about Science through Food Preparation, ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen Community Educator, Krista Gray, BSc., will demonstrate through recipes how great recipes are achieved through science of cooking. It will give teachers relevant and practical examples of how the basics of science are used to achieve results in the kitchen. As well, food samples may be provided.


Krista Gray, BSc., Community Educator and Supervisor of the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen

Krista Gray is Supervisor of the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen and has a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta. Krista comes from a line of teachers and is the ideal person to help teacher's connect the dots between food and science.
