Outdoor Council of Canada - Field Leader Certification (Day 2 of 2)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Have you ever wanted to take students on day hikes or outdoors, but felt reluctant about the legalities and safety of taking people outside? This 2 day course offers a systematic approach to planning and managing a hiking activity for one day. Day one will include an 8 hour day of indoor training, and day two will be aprox. 8 hours outdoors (come dressed for the weather!). Upon preregistration in the course, students will be emailed a 60 page manual and quizzes, which they will be required to read and complete before attending the course. Graduates of the FL (Hiking) course are qualified to lead one day trips into class 1 hiking terrain.
